Sticky Notes

Sticky Notes are personal reminders you create for yourself in Rithm. Think of them like a digital sticky pad on your desk: a short note with a due date that helps you remember something you need to do—without tying it to a client record or scheduling a meeting.

Tap the Sticky Note icon to get started. They are a lightweight way to remember things that are not appointments: call someone back, send a proposal, pick up materials, prepare for tomorrow’s route, and similar to-dos. Sticky Notes are yours alone. They are not shared with teammates, not assigned to a client, and they do not appear on a client profile.

Sticky Notes are always yellow. Rithm’s Auto-Scheduler does not treat them as meetings and does not route around them, so they will not reshape your day the way appointments do. Their job is simply to stay visible until you mark them done.

You can create Sticky Notes on both the web app and the Rithm for Sales iOS app. The idea is the same on both platforms; some screens and options differ. Use the tabs below for step-by-step guidance for each.

Web UIMobile UI

Where to find Sticky Notes (Web)

Yellow sticky note icon

Look in the upper-right area of the page header for a yellow sticky note icon. It appears on most screens when Sticky Notes are enabled for your account.

There is no text label on the icon—only the yellow sticky image. Click it to open the create Sticky Note popup.

Sticky note reminders widget (Home)

On your Home page, look for the widget titled Sticky note reminders.

From this widget you can:

  • See incomplete sticky notes and their due dates
  • Spot overdue items (highlighted, with an overdue warning)
  • Click Add to create a new sticky note
  • Click History to open the full Sticky Notes list

If you have no incomplete sticky notes, the widget shows: No sticky notes to work on.

Note: This widget is hidden while an active data filter session is applied on Home.

Sticky notes History

Open History from either:

  • The History button on the create Sticky Note popup, or
  • The History button on the Sticky note reminders widget

The History page is titled Sticky notes and organizes your notes into three sections: Overdue, To do, and Completed.

Calendar and planner

Incomplete sticky notes can also appear on your Calendar day schedule and in the week planner, styled in yellow. On the calendar, an overdue sticky may show the label Overdue sticky note.

Sticky Notes are not a main menu item. You open them from the header icon, the Home widget, History, or where they appear on your schedule.

How to use Sticky Notes (Web)

Create a sticky note

  1. Click the yellow sticky note icon in the upper-right header, or on Home open the Sticky note reminders widget and click Add.
  2. A yellow lined-paper popup opens.
  3. Type your reminder in the text area.
  4. Under Due: choose one of these options:
  • This evening — due at 7:00 PM today
  • Tomorrow AM — due at 7:00 AM tomorrow (this is the default)
  • End of week — due at 7:00 PM Saturday
  1. Click the Save button.

Tips while creating:

  • If the note is empty and you click Save, the popup closes and nothing is saved.
  • Click outside the yellow note (on the dimmed background) to close without saving.
  • After you save, the note is cleared so you can quickly write another one if you open the popup again.

Review your sticky notes (History)

  1. Click History on the popup or on the Home widget.
  2. Review the three sections:
Section What it shows If empty
Overdue Incomplete sticky notes past their due date (with a warning when any exist) Good job! Nothing is overdue.
To do Incomplete sticky notes that are still upcoming All caught up! Nothing to do. or Nothing new is due right now.
Completed Sticky notes you have already finished (None)
  1. Use Back when you are finished to return to where you came from.

At the bottom of Completed, you may see: The history of completed items is retained for 180 days. After that, completed sticky notes are removed automatically. There is no separate Delete button for sticky notes in the web UI.

Mark a sticky note complete

Each sticky note includes a checkmark control (title: Completed).

  • Click the checkmark to mark the note done.
  • You can click again to mark it incomplete if you marked it by mistake.
  • On calendar-style views, completing a sticky often slides it out of the list. On History, the list stays open so you can keep working through items.

Incomplete sticky notes may also show details such as Due date and Created date. Completed items can show when they were completed.

Edit a sticky note

  1. Open History.
  2. Click the sticky note’s text.
  3. The Edit notes screen opens (for sticky notes, the event date/time header is hidden).
  4. Change the text under Notes.
  5. Click Save, or Back to leave without saving.

On some schedule views you may also open an Editing notes popup and click Save there.

You choose the due date only when you create the sticky note (This evening / Tomorrow AM / End of week). The create popup does not offer a custom date/time picker.

Notifications about sticky notes

Rithm can remind you when sticky notes need attention—for example when notes are overdue or due by tomorrow. Those messages typically link you toward Sticky Notes History so you can clear them.

What Sticky Notes are not (Web)

  • Not client notes or meeting call notes
  • Not Personal Goals or Company Goals
  • Not shared or assigned to other users
  • Not color-customizable (always yellow)
  • Not searchable with a dedicated Sticky Notes search
  • Not manually deletable (mark complete; completed history is kept for 180 days)

Where to find Sticky Notes (iOS)

In the Rithm for Sales iOS app, Sticky Notes are available from several main screens. Look for the yellow sticky note icon in the top-right of the navigation bar. There is no text label on the icon.

Where your sticky notes appear

After you create sticky notes, view and complete them from Schedule:

  1. Open the Schedule tab.
  2. Look for the Notifications section (it may show a count).
  3. Tap Notifications to open the full Notifications screen (back label: Schedule).
  4. Incomplete sticky notes appear as yellow cards in that list.

When you are viewing today, overdue sticky notes can show the banner Overdue Sticky Note.

Unlike the web app, iOS does not include a separate Sticky Notes History screen with Overdue / To do / Completed sections. On iOS, incomplete sticky notes live under Schedule → Notifications, and completed sticky notes drop off that list.

How to use Sticky Notes (iOS)

Create a sticky note

  1. Go to Schedule, Clients, Target List, or a client detail screen.
  2. Tap the yellow sticky note icon in the top right.
  3. A yellow pad sheet opens titled Sticky Note.
  4. Type your reminder in the field (placeholder: Notes…).
  5. Under Due, choose one of these buttons:
  • This evening — due at 7:00 PM on the selected base date (this is the default on iOS)
  • Tomorrow AM — due at 7:00 AM the next day
  • End of week — due at 7:00 PM Saturday (or the following Saturday if Saturday evening has already passed)
  1. Confirm the footer line Reminder on followed by the date and time.
  2. Tap the blue checkmark Save button (top right) to save.
  3. Or tap the X (Cancel) button (top left) to close without saving.

Notes while creating:

  • Save stays unavailable until you enter some text.
  • Optional: tap the microphone button to dictate your note. Tap again to stop dictation. (Your device may ask for microphone / speech permission the first time.)
  • Sticky Notes are not linked to a client, even if you open the pad from a client detail screen. They are still personal reminders for you.

View sticky notes on Schedule

  1. Open Schedule for the day you care about.
  2. Open Notifications.
  3. Review each yellow sticky card. A card can show:
  • Overdue Sticky Note (when overdue)
  • Your note text
  • A circular check control
  • Due date
  • (Created …) date

Mark a sticky note complete

  1. On the sticky note card in Notifications, tap the circular check control.
  2. When checked, the caption Completed applies and the note is marked done on the server.
  3. Completed sticky notes disappear from the iOS Notifications list. There is no Completed history section in the mobile app.

If you need to review older completed sticky notes, use the web app’s Sticky Notes History screen.

What you cannot do on iOS

Compared with the web app, the iOS Sticky Notes experience is intentionally simpler:

Action iOS Web
Create a sticky note Yes Yes
Choose Due: This evening / Tomorrow AM / End of week Yes Yes
Dictate with microphone Yes No
History (Overdue / To do / Completed) No Yes
Edit note text after saving No dedicated edit screen Yes (from History)
Delete manually No (mark complete) No (mark complete; 180-day completed retention on web)
Change color No (always yellow) No (always yellow)
Assign or share No No

Default Due difference (important)

  • On iOS, the default Due choice is This evening.
  • On the web, the default Due choice is Tomorrow AM.

Always glance at the Due selection (and on iOS, the Reminder on line) before you save.

What Sticky Notes are not (iOS)

  • Not client notes attached to a customer record
  • Not calendar appointments that the Auto-Scheduler plans around
  • Not a shared team task list
  • Not editable later on the phone (create carefully, or adjust later on the web if needed)

Tips for salespeople

  • Keep sticky notes short and action-oriented (“Call back after quote,” “Bring catalog for 2pm stop”).
  • Choose the Due option that matches when you truly need the reminder—defaults differ between web and iOS.
  • Clear overdue sticky notes daily from web History or iOS Notifications so important to-dos stay visible.
  • Use Sticky Notes for personal prompts; use client records, meeting notes, and appointments when the work belongs to a specific customer visit.
  • Sticky Notes and meeting notes are different: Sticky Notes are personal reminders; meeting notes belong with scheduled client activity.
